Workshop Description

Explore a range of organic materials and work your way towards the creation of your own vessels in a relaxed and inspiring environment with award winning Ceramic Artist Fiona Cuthbert O’Meara. In this class you will explore a comprehensive series of Wheel Throwing techniques to get you up and running on the pottery wheel. Also discussed are basic hand building applications to create and alter wheel thrown forms.

In this class you will learn to feel your way, centre, take notice, grow, learn basic skills and decide whether you want to move in a functional or sculptural direction (or explore both). No prior experience is necessary although welcomed and all standard clays, tools and equipment are provided for the duration of the workshops. Includes Clay & Bisque firing only.

Working with clay can be both grounding and cathartic as you tap into your own inner artist, shaping and allowing and connecting to earth through your process.

Just bring an apron and a towel and we will provide the rest for you to enjoy your creative experience!
